SHOULD I FRANCHISE THIS?
KNOW BEFOREYOU GROW.
You've built something that works.
Now you're wondering whether franchising could be the right next move.
Before you invest heavily in legal documents, systems, recruitment and franchise development, SIFT helps you understand whether the business, the model and you as the founder are genuinely ready for what comes next.
Already franchised? The SIFT Franchise Health Check is coming soon.

A GREAT BUSINESS DESERVES THE RIGHT GROWTH STRATEGY.
Franchising can be an extraordinary way to grow the right business.
But a successful business is not automatically a successful franchise.
Some businesses are ready to replicate. Some have real potential but need strengthening first. And some are exceptional businesses for which franchising simply isn't the best way to grow.
That is not a failure.
The wrong question
CAN I FRANCHISE THIS?
The right question
SHOULD I FRANCHISE THIS?
THE GOAL ISN'T TO GET TO YES. THE GOAL IS TO GET TO THE RIGHT ANSWER.
The SIFT Method™
FOUR PILLARS. ONE CLEARER DECISION.
SIFT looks at four commercial foundations before we recommend franchising.
Is there something genuinely worth replicating, and is franchising the right way to grow it?
Could someone else run the business successfully?
Do the economics work for both franchisee and franchisor?
Can the business succeed beyond the founder?
ONE ASSESSMENT. ONE CLEAR VERDICT.
We are not here to convince every founder to franchise.
We are here to help you understand what is true and what the right next move looks like.
There is genuine franchise potential here and franchising deserves serious consideration.
There may be real potential, but some things need strengthening first. A NOT YET is not a rejection. It is a roadmap.
Franchising does not appear to be the best growth model for this business. That does not mean it is not a great business. Sometimes protecting what makes a business exceptional means choosing another way to grow it.
ALL THREE ANSWERS CAN MOVE A FOUNDER FORWARD.

I'M ALREADY FRANCHISED
You already have a franchise network and want an experienced outside view of what is working, where the cracks are and what needs attention. The SIFT Franchise Health Check is currently in development.

Most franchise-readiness thinking focuses on the business.
We look at the founder too.
Because a business can have the systems to grow while the founder is not ready for what that growth will require.
And a founder can be ready for expansion while the business underneath them is not.
SIFT asks: SHOULD I FRANCHISE THIS?
S4 × 2 helps us look deeper at what is happening in the business and in the person leading it.
Because scaling a business and scaling as a founder are not separate things.

THE FOUNDERS
TWO OPERATORS.TWO DIFFERENT LENSES.
Amanda Leigh Walker and Adam Beardsley bring different but complementary experience to SIFT.
Amanda brings more than two decades of building, operating and scaling Lord of the Fries from one food van into a franchise network of 35+ locations across Australia and New Zealand.
Adam brings extensive experience across family business, business ownership, operations, commercial leadership, sales, negotiation, supplier relationships, people development and performance.
Together, they assess both the business and the people responsible for leading its growth.
A business has to be capable of growth. So do the people leading it.
